| 1. Eligibility |

1.1 |
A candidate may apply for his / her first grading - adult
(7th Kyu) and children (12th Kyu) after four months of consistent
training at the respective registered dojo. |

|
|
| |
1.2 |
All candidates who are applying to be graded for 5th Kyu and
above must satisfy the respective pre-requsite as stipulated
by Hombu or the Association. Details can be found in our Grading
Syllabus. |

| |
1.3 |
A candidate is considered to be eligible for grading only
if he/she has paid to date membership fee, training fee, and has fulfilled a minimum of 75% attendance rate during
the required period of practice. |
| |

|
| |
1.4 |
A candidate is to submit his/her AIKIDO FEDERATION (SINGAPORE)
membership booklet and attendance card along with the grading fee two weeks before the
grading date. |
| |
|
|
| |
1.5 |
The candidate must sign the waiver and indemnity undertaking
form, if he/she has not already done so. |
| |
|
|
| |
1.6 |
In exceptional cases, a candidate may be allowed to be graded
with their dojo instructor's recommendation and/or the approval
of the Chief Instructor. |

| |
1.7 |
A student/an applicant from other Aikido schools or organisations
is not allowed to be graded by AIKIDO FEDERATION (SINGAPORE)
without prior written consent from the Chief Instructor of the
student's/ applicant's school or organisation. |

| 2. Grading For
Absentees |
| |
|
|
| |
2.1 |
Absentees who failed to attend the grading may apply to be
graded on an appointed date by the Chief Instructor if he/she
is able to provide a valid reason. |

| 3. Grading Performance
& Evaluation |
| |
|
|
| |
3.1 |
Candidates must perform all the required techniques, movements,
etc., as listed in the Hombu Grading Syllabus (Aikido World
Headquarters, Japan) to the best of their ability. |

| |
3.2 |
The following grades are awarded for the evaluation of each
candidate's performance: |

| i) |
A - Excellent |
| ii) |
B - Good |
| iii) |
C - Fair |
| iv) |
D - Fail |
|
| |
|
|
| |
3.3 |
A candidate must obtain at least a "C" grade to
pass the grading. |
| |
|
|
| |
3.4 |
A candidate with an "A" (Excellent) grade may be
awarded a double promotion (e.g. 7th Kyu to 5th Kyu, or 5th
Kyu to 3rd Kyu, etc.). |

| 4. Rules

4.1 |
Candidates must be properly attired (i.e. do-gi, belt, hakama).

4.2 |
Candidates must be punctual for grading. |

4.3 |
Candidates under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed
to be graded. |

AIKIDO FEDERATION (SINGAPORE) reserves the right to amend
and/or change the rules stated herein. |
