My greatest impact in Aikido started with the visit of the late Nobuyoshi Tamura shihan visit to Singapore in 1964. It was from there that my interest and passion for Aikido never ends. It started with my good old friend Peter Lim training in our make shift dojo. Then the now defunct Singapore Aikido Federation headed by my late Sensei Lee Meng Kum, Teddy. Then established Aikikai (Singapore) in 1987 and then all we, the original founders of Aikikai Singapore got ousted in 2001 and I founded Aikido Federation Singapore in August 2002. Was awarded 6th Dan and then Aikido Federation Singapore was officially granted Hombu Recognition and finally being appointed the title of Aikido Shihan by Aikido Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba on 8th January 2017. I am deeply proud and honoured and will continue promoting Aikido, the teaching of “O” Sensei and will continue to provide any assistance to any Aikido group as required. I take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to everyone for their congratulatory wishes.
