Shihonage – Katatedori, Ryotedori (hanmi handachi & standing)

1st Kyu (Black) 60 days of practise after 2nd Kyu. Unarmed techniques (sitting, hanmi handachi, standing techniques for strikes, thrust, all forms of grasping shoulders, elbows, collar, wrists & hands; all techniques from the rear).
Shodan (1st Dan) 80 days of practise after 1st Kyu. (Candidate must be 16yrs of aged) Same as above
Nidan (2nd Dan) 200 days of practise after 1st Dan (Shodan). Same as above plus Tantodori and Futarigake.
Submit an article on some Aikido related subject.
Sandan (3rd Dan) 300 days of practise after 2nd Dan (Nidan). Same as above plus Tachi-dori, Jo-dori and Taninzugake (more than three ukes).
Same as above (Topics will be assigned).
Yondan (4th Dan) 400 days of practise after 3rd Dan (Sandan). Jiyuwaza for all of the above plus a short essay.
Godan (5th Dan) By recommendation during Kagami Biraki, after not less than 5 years of practise and services with good attitude and behaviour.
